Theft Auto 6 making a billion dollars in
pre-orders alone and expected to make
3.2 billion do in the very first year as

article from Tim Bradshaw Grand Theft
Auto 6 set to break records despite
gaming slowdown this is what they have
to say the long awaited release of the
Grand Theft Auto game is set to be the
biggest entertainment launch of 2025
generating a projected 3 billion in its
first year making it a bright spot in an
otherwise blackluster video game Market
Grand Theft Auto 6 which publisher T2
interactive Inc is set to release in
fall on PlayStation 5 in Xbox series X
and S is likely to exceed 1 billion in
pre-orders before it even becomes
available according to analysts at DFC
intelligence which is a video game
research group going on to say total
revenues from Grand Theft Auto 6’s first
12 months after release are expected to
reach 3.2 billion DFC predicts double
what Grand Theft Auto 5 did and such a
success would far outstrip 2024’s
biggest films inside out to which
grossed 1.7 billion globally according
to Box Office Mojo and Deadpool and
warline which has taken 13 billion so
you can see just on those numbers alone
it is way bigger than some of the
largest other franchises and
entertainment pieces out there now we
also heard from take two interactive CEO
Strauss zelnick who ended up saying this
I never claim victory before it occurs
that said I think Rockstar Games will
once again deliver something absolutely
phenomenal certainly the anticipation is
high so we don’t hear from stra selnick
a lot so it’s always news when he does
do an interview or speak out even if he
just says something pretty Broad and
generic like this which he’s done over
the last couple of weeks and whatnot but
essentially he like everyone else thinks
that Rockstar game is going to deliver
something in his words absolutely
phenomenal and he recognizes that
anticipation for the game is high but he
obviously doesn’t want to claim victory
before it occurs regarding all the sales
figures of course that’s actually a
phrase that he has used in the past now
the article goes on to say this this is
coming from yoshio Osaka who is the
chief executive of games focused idg
Consulting going on to say we think it’s
going to be one of the biggest
entertainment launches in history not
just in games but for all media the pent
up demand is greater than anything we’ve
ever seen now the article goes on to say
this however GTA 6 will be an outlier in
a games industry that is still
struggling to recover from a protracted
slump leading to layoffs at Sony and
Microsoft’s gaming units as well as top
Publishers including take to interactive
Electronic Arts and Ubisoft more than
33,000 people have lost their jobs since
2022 and according to tracking site
games industry layoffs including almost
15,000 in 2024 alone so zela goes on to
say he was a bit surprised by the
reduction in demand from players that
started in 2022 as post pandemic
consumers turned off their screens and
returned to live inperson events going
on to say all of us in the industry had
to do some restructuring we got a little
bit too ahead of ourselves in terms of
growth expectations however straw selnik
believes that growth is starting to
accelerate again going on to say it’s
way too early to believe that this
console generation is maturing or has
reached its apex you’re going to see
more consumer demand broadly and the
games industry frankly led by us has an
amazing release schedule coming in 2025
and Beyond a hit coming from one company
tends to benefit the entire industry and
honestly that last part is great news
and I don’t think that he would stray
away from what take two interactivist
said and what we know and that the game
is going to be coming out in Fall 2025
but still he doubles down on that fall
2025 saying that that’s going to be part
of their amazing release schedule I
think if GTA 6 which is what they really
been talking about in the whole article
was not going to stay in Fall 2025 I
don’t really think he would make that
comment and he also says when Grand
Theft AO 6 comes out it’s going to raise
the entire video game industry because
of how successful it’s going to be now
really the last Grand Theft Auto nugget
that we’re able to get from this article
has to do with Rockstar and take to
Interactive Learning from what they did
with GTA 5’s launch so the article goes
on to say one of those enduring hits is
GTA 5 which is sold more than 205
million copies to date with an online
multiplayer version that continues to
attract millions of players each month
and that gives take to interactive a
strong base on which to launch the new
game zelnik did say the launch of GTA
online was pretty bumpy initially
crashing under high player demand going
on to say one of the things Rockstar has
done in the last eight years is vastly
improveed the technical underpinings of
everything we do we don’t tend to have
those kind of challenges anymore
essentially what he say saying is he
expects the launch of not only Grand
Theft Auto 6 but whatever multiplayer
version of GTA 6 is whether it’s Grand
Theft Auto online 2.0 GTA Vice City
online I don’t know what they’re going
to call it but whatever they do it seems
like Rockstar is aware of the bugs of
the past and is not going to let that
happen again in the future so again if

leaves us the question when are we going
to hear from Takeo interactive and
Rockstar Games next well Rockstar Games
Insider test funds 2 has a pretty good
idea on when that’s going to happen and
it’s something that I’ve been saying in
my videos for a few weeks if not months
now but anyways on the GTA Forum site on
a thread about a year with no news news
is GTA 6 getting delayed Insider TZ
funds 2 said this it’s either early
February before the conference call or
on the same day or come May based on
Rockstar’s patterns they always announce
the release date in early February or
late January of the same release year so
if it’s not a delay announcement we can
expect the release date announcement
both GTA 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2
also had their second trailers released
2 to 4 months before the release date
was confirmed so I can see where the
concerns are coming either way we may be
a month away from knowing whether it’s a
delay or not and hopefully that
announcement is not a delay hopefully it
comes with a release date the ability to
pre-order the game make Rockstar and
take to interactive that estimated $1
billion and I agree with TZ funds 2o
especially after this year is coming
gone and we haven’t gotten anything from
Rockstar based on their history in the
past when they announced the release
dates of games it’s going to come in
either late January or early February
that’s what I expect to hear from
Rockstar Games games next again
hopefully it comes with the ability to
pre-order and not a delay announcement
