In today's video, we're going to take a
look at the information Rockstar dropped
about Port Galhorn and take a look at
some of the hidden details that you may
not have seen. Stay tuned because some
of the hidden details are actually
really impressive. So, this is Port
Galhorn. So, Rockstar have clearly
created a tourism board called Visit
Leonida. And there's different postcards
for different locations. And in today's
video, we're going to go through this
postcard and we're also going to go
through all of the accompanying images
that came with Port Galhorn. So, in this
postcard image, the first thing we can
see, of course, it's nighttime. Captain
Obvious strikes again. So, we can see
that there is a train coming into the
station, and the train of course has
interior lights. So, we have a bit of a
throwback to GTA 4 by having a fully
enterable train interior. We can also
see working signal lights. This is just
another little piece of attention to
detail Rockstar have given to the
railway system to make it a little bit
more convincing and realistic. Yes, I'm
going to say the word realistic a lot
throughout this video. brace yourself.
We can also see that there's no overhead
lines above the train, meaning that
these trains are most likely diesel.
Now, by looking on the left, we can see
that there's an NPC waiting for a train,
and it looks like they're looking down
and on a phone or maybe smoking or
something. But already from this sort of
distance, we're already seeing NPCs,
which is a massive improvement over GTA
5. Now, if we move up just a little bit,
we can see that there's someone sneaking
around the side of a ballista compact.
Now, the way that they're kind of
hunched over makes it look like they're
probably sneaking around looking for a
way to break into a car. And back in the
2022 leaks, we saw that we actually had
some new tools to break into vehicles.
Things like slim gyms, lockpicking
tools, and stuff like that. So, this
looks like an NPC is being stealthy and
breaking into a vehicle. This also ties
into this area of the map. It's a
slightly rundown area of the map. So,
this is probably where we're seeing more
activities at night like this. And this
is the first time we see NPCs breaking
into vehicles into a GTA game. So, this
is really interesting. Now, this person
could either be trying to break into the
car to steal it or trying to break an
item out of the vehicle, maybe go
through a glove box or something. I
think now we're reaching into the realms
of possibility, but less likely the more
we go on. They're probably just trying
to steal the car. It all depends how
close Rockstar try to go to real life.
Now, moving over to the right of the
picture, we can see that there's an
orange juice stand or an orange juice
bar, whatever it might be. Well, this is
the symbol of Florida, the orange. And
this is going to be a common reoccurring
theme throughout a lot of the imagery
that we see for anything to do with
Leonida. From this screenshot, we can
also see how good the lighting is in
Grand Theft Auto 6. from the headlights
of the vehicles. This just looks
probably a good 50 to maybe twice as
good percent as it did look in Grand
Theft Auto 5. It looks really impressive
and the way that light interacts and
bounces off objects is so much more
realistic compared to anything we've
seen before from a Rockstar title. We
also have reflectors in the road. Now,
these reflectors obviously respond to
light from headlights. And now with ray
trace reflections, they can do this. We
can see that as we get out of the beam
and the headlights, these lights appear
to kind of disappear. And the other side
of the road, you can't really see them.
You see them a little bit around the
edge, but they seem to disappear
overall. Now, in the distance, we can
see that the draw distance is absolutely
amazing. The fact that we can actually
see these smoke stacks with smoke going
along at such a long distance. This is
not something we've seen from Rockstar
before. We started to see some instances
of it in um Red Dead Redemption in some
of the industrial oldie areas, but this
draw distance is absolutely incredible.
Now, back over towards the left, you'll
see that we have this, which is a repair
and salvage yard. Now, this might be
important to some parts of the story.
Now, back in the 2022 leaks, we could
see that we could pick up car parts and
find car parts around the map. Well,
salvage yards will most likely be the
best place to do that. Not sure what
that has to do with the story, whether
it's repairing or rebuilding vehicles.
Obviously, eventually we will find out.
But some other little key things to note
is there's actually a couple of boats in
the salvage yard. So, you can't really
see it too well, but there appears to be
a boat here. Or is that the rooftop?
That might be a rooftop. Ignore me. I'm
chatting [ __ ] That though over here,
this is definitely a boat in this
salvage yard. Now, of course, boats
being a massive theme of Grand Theft
Auto 6, and me being an absolute boat
nerd, this excites me. Now, if we look
into the distance, we can see lights
going on for the longest distance
possible. I mean, we can see markers in
the water all the way over here, which
is a significant distance. Now, these
markers are usually channel markers to
show boats where the water has been
dredged and where it's deep enough for
big ships to come out. And we'll talk
about ships coming in and out in a
second. Now, the next thing I want to
talk about is there's a kind of little
island over here. We can't really see
what's on it, but it does look a little
bit industrial. It looks like these
things here are big silos for something.
Not 100% sure. It's just not clear
enough to be able to make out. We also
behind this water tower, we have another
either an island or a peninsula over
here. And this looks like has a lot more
lighting on it. Maybe it's industrial, a
quarry or something. It's once again
very difficult to tell. Now heading over
here, we can see that we have a building
under construction. Now in Red Dead
Redemption 2, over time buildings were
in construction and they finally got
finished towards the end of the game.
Maybe it could be similar with some of
the locations in GTA 6 if Rockstar take
their technology from 2018 and put it
towards this game. Maybe over time this
building might maybe possibly perhaps
could get finished. Now off in the
distance we have the ports. Now this is
Port Galhorn, the actual port of
Galhorn. We can see that there's a
smaller vessel here and it appears to be
a shipping container just going behind
this construction building. Now, there
aren't any lights on inside the shipping
container and maybe there's some more
docking space for more boats to come and
go. But this whole area in itself over
here with all of these cranes is about
the size of the port that we had in GTA
5. So, if we look at the whole of Port
Galhorn, the distance, all of the
industrial areas in the distance, it
gives you a good understanding of the
actual scale of the location that we're
dealing with. This place is absolutely
massive. You know what else is? Now,
zooming out a little bit, we can
actually see that it's not actually
fully nighttime yet. We can see the sun
setting off in the distance and these
clouds are just very thick rain clouds.
So, the bottom of the scene does look
extremely dark, but in reality, it's
still daytime in Leonida. This gives you
a good understanding how that if you're
over here in the distance somewhere, you
may be experiencing different weather
and different dynamics to a different
part of the map, all depending on the
weather systems that are built in. In
Grand Theft Auto 5, if it rains, it
rains. But it looks like in here,
different parts of the map will be
experiencing different lighting and
different weather dynamics at different
parts of the day/week. I mean, it
wouldn't make sense to rain in a
different part of the map if there were
no clouds. And as we can see off in the
distance, there are no clouds. Now,
before we move on to the next image, I
just want to say a brief thank you to
today's video sponsor, Into the A.M.
Now, Into the AM is a clothing company.
And whether it's everyday clothing or
just chilling at home or whether it's
going out, they have the clothing that
you need. Now, I've been wearing all of
the Into the AM stuff for weeks now. In
fact, you may have seen me wearing this
very hat for at least the past 2 or 3
weeks. That's because it's actually
better than my own merch hat, but let's
not talk about that. And on their
website, you can find a range of
clothing to meet your needs. Not only is
their stuff extremely comfy, like
genuinely, this is the comfiest thing
I've ever owned. And this hat
is these are so comfy. I love them. But
also, everything on their site is also
affordable. And that's a big thing. I've
had many clothing companies reach out to
me, and a lot of their clothing is so
expensive that I just can't get behind
it. But with Into the AM, their stuff is
not only quality, comfortable, and
affordable, but also their business has
a really good backstory behind it. Now,
you should definitely go and check out
their website at the link below. And you
can also save yourself 10% by using that
link as well. So, thank you to Into the
AM for sponsoring today's video. And
let's get back to the video. Now, we're
going to move on to the next image. And
I'm sure there's probably a couple of
things that we've missed in here. I did
have a little look around here, but
there's not really anything that's too
telling of what's going on inside the
map. So, we will move on to the next
bit. So, the next image is the Starlet
Motel, and we actually saw this back in
the 2022 leaks, but back then it did
look vastly different to how it looks
now. Now, some things I want to point
out. We're going to zoom right in and
start in the bottom lefthand corner. You
can see that the ray tracing is
absolutely insane. In fact, you can see
the reflection of this guy's legs down
in that puddle. That's absolutely
incredible, and it's a really good piece
of attention to detail. And once again,
we can see reflections off the side of
these bolards. That's just ray tracing
and global illumination for you. Now,
moving over, we have this vehicle. Now,
I've seen a lot of people talking about
this image, but I haven't seen anyone
mention the fact that this is a squatted
truck. Now, in America, well, in some
parts of America, squatting trucks is a
popular thing to do. To be honest, I
personally don't understand it, but each
to their own. The whole idea is that you
lower the suspension on the rear and you
keep the front of the suspension the
same way, so the truck squats. Now, I
find it almost impossible that we're
going to get into this vehicle and then
Rockstar are just going to automatically
level the car out so it's not squatted
anymore. That wouldn't make sense. In
reality, this probably means that
Rockstar in their vehicle customization
are going to allow us to adjust the
suspension for the front and rear
separately, which is a really cool piece
of attention to detail. We also have
this woman that may be a lady of the
night, I don't know, talking to someone
that's inside the vehicle. And even from
here, we can see that there's some
lights and some dials and knobs on the
dash. There is a bit of detail even from
this distance. Now, moving across just a
little bit more, we can see that the
headlights of the truck are reflecting
off the wall. Once again, ray tracing.
We have a lady over here taking a
picture of the cats with the flash on
her phone. And you can even see the
flash from her phone reflecting down
onto the floor. A really nice piece of
attention to detail. We also have
rubbish bags over here. Now, this is
very heavily into speculation street,
but we saw in Red Dead Redemption 2 that
there was like construction workers and
people working and doing stuff and
picking up rubbish and moving stuff
around. I'm assuming that in Grand Theft
Auto 6, they're probably going to have
similar cycles for people in the game.
We saw in the trailer that there was
roadside workers working on the
roadside, so maybe we'll have people
coming along and doing trash collection.
Now, moving along just a little bit
more, we can actually see that this
building has an interior. Now, it is
entirely possible that this building
actually plays a part in the story. Now,
what I mean by that is this looks like
it could be a safe house or a base for
Jason and Lucia. There's some shots in a
motel that could be based here. We don't
know 100% for sure, but it does look
like it's based at this particular
location. This scene just looks so
incredible. Sorry, I just had to pause
for a minute and just have a look at it.
Now, looking over to the right,
something that's also pretty impressive.
None of these bricks appear to be the
same pattern. It doesn't look like
they've been duplicating assets. It
looks like this is one complex texture
that they've put across the whole wall.
Just a really nice piece of attention to
detail. And yes, I keep saying
that. Up here, these power lines. Once
again, we have the light reflecting from
the motel sign to the underneath of the
power cables, but also the way that
they're attached looks far more
realistic. Rather than everything being
uniform, we can see that the power lines
appear to be coming off at their own
angle. And in the first GTA trailer, and
I haven't actually looked at it in the
second GTA, but we can see power lines
are actually moving when birds and stuff
land on them. So, I'm assuming that
these will have their own physics as
well, which is once again attention to
detail. Now, moving over to the left a
little bit, we're going to zoom in a
little bit more. We can see someone
sunbathing at night, probably more
realistically having a nap. And next to
them is an empty swimming pool. Well,
not completely empty. There's a bit of
greenish sludge down in the bottom of
the pool, but overall, let's just call
it an empty pool. Overall, this is a
pretty rundown area. Now, zooming over
here, we have a barbecue on top of a gas
canister. And I believe we saw this in
the leaks as well. I was in the same
scene. Now, next, let's just have a
little bit of pool and Wi-Fi. The pool
is a bit optimistic, isn't it? Won't
want to swim in that. If I zoom in over
here, we can see that there's a sign in
the background. I can't quite make out
what this is advertising. Maybe you guys
in the comments might be able to
elaborate what that could be. Just drop
a comment and let me know what you think
it could be. Now, the next thing I want
to talk about is this here. So, see this
radio mast. We can see it going all the
way down to the floor. Now, I have a
theory, and it's a theory that I've been
perpetuating quite a lot throughout my
channel, but I'd love to hear your
thoughts. So, I think the navigation
system in the vehicles on Grand Theft
Auto will most likely be phone based. So
when you get into a vehicle, your phone
will pop up. Rather than having a
display for the phone and for your
navigation, they'll probably be like a
Google Maps or Apple Maps style app in
the game for your navigation. Now, these
towers, there's a lot of these dotted
throughout the map. And they are
absolutely huge. This looks like it's
going to be a key location, a safe
house. If you're in a helicopter and
you're just flying around, you'll know
just to look for one of these masks to
know when you're nearby your safe house.
We also have on top of Brian's Marina,
we also have a big sign on top of there
that just says Brian's Marina on the top
of it. So, we know how to get to Brian's
when we need to go there for a mission.
I think that Rockstar might try and do
more subtle things like this to signify
key locations in the map. So, we are
less reliant on the navigation in the
game. Just a theory, but I'm keen to
hear what you guys think about that. So,
in this shot, there's actually quite a
lot of things that we can look at. So,
we'll start off from right to left and
work our way through. But the first
thing I want to say about the shot is
the lighting is incredible. The neon
lights, the reflection from headlights,
and the overall kind of cohesive look of
this image as a vibe, as a place just
looks absolutely amazing. So, we'll
start off from the right hand side of
the image. We can see that there is a
homeless guy pushing around a trolley.
And all of the details here are
absolutely exceptional. We can see that
not only is the clothes dirtier and a
bit more kind of like ragged and shoes
are as well, but the actual details of
the things in the shopping cart also
look a bit weathered and worn. And I
know I keep saying it, but attention to
detail. You can really see that Rockstar
have applied themselves here. Now, when
it comes to the things like this sign,
the actual dirt around the edge of the
sign and the way that it's kind of
darkened up around the edges where water
would have dripped over the edge and
dirt would have got caught just looks
amazing. The signage itself looks real.
Like the same goes for all of these
screenshots. These could all be photos.
They could all be photos. It's amazing.
Then going to this car down here. So, of
course, we have something which looks a
bit like a hybrid between a few
different cars. It to me, it's got kind
of like the rear light shape of a BMW 5
series or the curve of an Infiniti. It's
really hard to say, but once again, the
detail in the interior through the back
window is amazing. Now, we're going to
move back up to the right side of the
shot. So you can see down the road we
can see lights coming through from a
headlights of another vehicle coming up
an adjacent road. And you see some
signage over there. So we're already
getting quite significant draw distance
on things like headlights of the
vehicles. And same going for down here
as well. We can see that kind of global
illumination coming from some of the
lighting coming from this house. I'm not
sure if it's been raining. It's probably
probably has been raining. This could
also be kind of like condensation on the
floor as well cuz you know damp climate.
But yeah, you can see how wet the floor
is. It looks amazing. Now, going over to
over here, we've got a pickup truck. And
the detail in the wheels and on the
tires is incredible. I absolutely love
it. And of course, we've got a big fat
rear differential. And we've got two
guys around the corner. I think one of
them's lighting a cigarette. It looks
like he's lighting a cigarette or
smoking some
stuff. Don't get demonetized. Then, of
course, we can see someone getting
thrown out. We can also see as well,
this isn't just a club for gentlemen.
It's not just a gentleman's club. They
also have a ladies night which shows
that there's kind of like a calendar
system being applied to some of the
events around the world. Then looking
over here to the left, it looks like we
have some dancers. And I believe that
might be Does that look like a woman
that's been thrown out? No, it's a dude.
It's a dude. Now looking off into the
distance, what can we see over here? We
can see a house. And this appears to be
a waterway. Does that look like a road
or a waterway? No, it's definitely a
road. Definitely a road. But we can see
a house with some steps going up to it.
Once again, bright lights in the
background. And we can also see some
examples of some not sure if this is
traffic lights or if this is some sort
of radio mass up in the distance. Now,
moving back down to the bottom again, I
want to talk about some vehicle stuff.
Now, I will be doing a full dedicated
video to all the vehicles we can see in
the game, but the cars are very
associative with this part of the map.
We're not seeing supercars in Port
Galhorn because that just wouldn't make
sense. Of course, this over here looks
like a ver behind the
um gentleman's club um with some red
lights in it and some seating area
outside. I'm just having a little look
around to see what other stuff that we
can see. Once again, back here we have
trolleys and we have some like waste and
dirt. Now, this is something that I
mentioned in my full trailer tear down,
but the trash on the floor looks
believable. Whereas in GTA 5, there was
like bits of trash on the floor, but it
didn't look anywhere near as detailed as
this. The same thing goes for these like
this grass, these weeds and stuff. Just
looks really impressive. Now down here
we have I believe now cuz I don't live
in America, but I believe these are fire
hydrants. Be interesting to see if a
fire department does come whether they'd
actually use any of this. Probably not.
That's probably far too much realism. It
is a game at the end of the day. But
it's really cool how much details gone
into some of those things. And now let's
move on to the next scene. So in this
image appears to look like it's a grow.
And I'm saying that because that is the
devil's lettuce. And I I've seen some
devil's lettuce and I'm telling you
that's devil's lettuce. But also down
here we seem to have UV lights
reflecting off this box. And in the
background you can see some purple from
some UV lamps. So let's just say that
this is a grow because it is. Some
things to note here that the details in
this skin look absolutely incredible. We
can see some scarring around here which
is awesome. We can also see some age
marks around here. We can also see you
know more thicker darker knuckles maybe
from some physical action. Overall, the
I mean, you can look for yourselves. The
skin just looks absolutely incredible,
and I'm genuinely extremely impressed.
This does beg the question, will our
characters be able to have marks and
scars from incidents or accidents they
involve themselves in? If you have a
tattoo and you get your arm shot to
pieces, we have to get the tattoo
redone. All of that sort of stuff.
Probably going down the route of too
much realism there. But something else I
have noticed is certain characters wear
their clothes in a different way. Some
people have their like pants sagged down
a little bit. Some people have like tank
tops or some people roll their sleeves
up. You'll see it in different shots
throughout the trailer. And of course,
all of this artwork, there's different
ways that people wear their clothes.
Now, it is possible that maybe in the
wardrobe options for our characters,
we'll have some way to adjust some of
these areas and functionality ourselves.
Don't really know, just speculation. But
there is a lot of different styles of
wearing clothes that I've seen
throughout the trailer. So, I'm keen to
see what you guys think about that. You
can also see in the jewelry and in the
uh the chains, the wrist chain there and
the neck chain. There is so much detail.
And as we saw from Jason and Lucia in
the trailer, whenever they move around,
this jewelry moves and kind of like has
its own physics and gravity. So, I'm
really keen to see how far they go with
some of this uh jewelry stuff. It's
really cool. I love it. Now, in this
next shot, you can see a woman handing a
bag of what appears to be Viagra to a
guy in the back of the car. Now, an
interesting point to note is the amount
of detail in the door textures. If we
just zoom in, you can see all of the
individual pores of this either real
leather, fake leather, or plastic that's
been imprinted or stamped. Even the
textures in the plastic on the inlay of
the door handle. This is just so much
detail. We even have here dirt, which
this dirt here is built up around the
bottom of the door handle cuz that's a
part of the handle that does get dirty
because you grab here. That is obscene
levels of detail, Rockstar. Like, no one
had to do that. They did that because
Oh, that looks realistic. I'm just
overall really impressed. We also have
the bottom half of the door here, which
is like leather stitching. You can even
see if I zoom in, you can even see like
the imprint around the edge where this
has been formed in shape. Just
incredible attention to detail. We also
have Rockstar flexing here with the way
that light passes through the edge of
this kind of like uh heat shrunk bag.
It's just you'll see this a lot in the
trailer. A lot of glass objects that
Rockstar used to show how light kind of
refracts or diffuses through these
objects. It's so good. Oh, Rockstar.
Now, on the forehead of this person, we
can see that there's dice. Now, this
tattoo appears a few times in a few
places throughout both the trailer and
some of the artworks. I'm assuming that
this is a gang affiliation. Now, the
symbolism of dice and rolling the dice
is usually taking risk and taking
chances. So, maybe that's something to
do with one of the gangs or the groups
in the game. I guess we will find that
out at some point in the story. We can
also see a really glassy look in this
character's eyes. It's really
impressive. Like this kind of wet look
with reflections. This stuff in games is
genuinely really hard to pull off
convincingly, otherwise it just looks
like the character's crying. So, yeah,
I'm really impressed. And once again, we
have all of these scars and
imperfections on the face. It just it
looks real. It just looks real. Now, in
this shot, we have a few things going
on. Firstly, we have how filthy this
truck is. And Rockstar have clearly paid
attention to different sorts of dirt.
No, I don't mean that sort of dirt. I
mean, this dirt is not from dust. It's
from muddy water droplets. Very
different from the dirt that was on
Brian's car in the trailer. Now, on the
top left, we can see that we're in a
trailer park from the trailer in the
background. And we can also see the NPCs
are sat in different positions on the
bed of the truck. This is a huge
difference from what we saw in Red Dead
Redemption 2 where NPCs tended to kind
of sit in the same way or have a uniform
way of uh sitting on certain sorts of
furniture and in fact only sitting on
furniture or things that were designated
to be sat on. In this instance, we can
see that the truck bed is open and
people are just chilling and sat in
different ways. Now looking up, we can
see this cold lighting over the trailer
park and we can see that this light
source is pretty much dictating the
whole back half of this scene. That's
once again ray tracing for you. Now a
bit further to the right, we can see an
NPC carrying a pallet while holding a
bottle of beer. We can also see that
he's kind of struggling to hold the
pallet from the look on his face. And we
have this guy looking at him. This kind
of shows that NPCs are a bit more aware
of what's happening around them. And
NPCs seem to have a bit of their own
kind of form of self-awareness. We can
also see that these NPCs are in groups.
We have this guy sat on the floor with
his partner sat in the chair. We have
these two people over here, one on their
phone, one drinking a beer. We have this
couple in the background that appear to
be kissing or smooching. And once again,
it's warped because of the heat from the
fire causing this kind of haze. And this
whole idea of NPCs being in groups is
something that Rockstar have never
really done properly before. They kind
of touched on it in Red Dead Redemption
2, but this kind of social setting where
people have their own clicks, they have
their own partners, they have people
that they stand closer to or sit closer
to is once again just Rockstar imitating
real life. Also, this fire needs a
mention. Like, we can see all of these
embers going up into the sky. Just this
fire just looks so realistic. It's
really impressive stuff. Now, in this
cooler, we don't just have one type of
beer. We've got a different variety of
beers with different bottle colors and
liquid colors. We've got C-3 ones. They
got more brown ones. This isn't just
like one asset pack that they've stuck
in there. This is like actual attention
to detail of how beers sit in a cooler.
Now, let's move to the focal point of
the scene. We have this man and lady,
and the lady is telling the man to be
quiet whilst making advances towards his
trousers. Now, we can see firstly the
way that materials conforms to the shape
of the character's body, whether it's
these trousers or this kind of like
brallet, bra thingy, what's it called?
Bikini top. I don't even know what is
this called. I don't know. You get the
idea. That thing, the American flag
thing she's wearing. We can also see the
detail in the hairs on his chest and on
his stomach. And of course, where the
light reflects off sweat, which is once
again insane attention to detail. We
also see her kind of like
smirking/biting her lip, which is kind
of a new dynamic for a facial animation
that I've not seen Rockstar do before.
It's just the amount of attention to
detail here is just phenomenal. I'm just
so blown away by all of this. We can see
the sweat actually running down his
skin. And we also saw this in the
trailer as well. This isn't just visible
in screenshots. Now, with this beer, and
I want to talk about this, you'll see
that there's some light condensation on
the beer. And you'll notice in the
trailer and in some of the artwork shots
as well, beers have different states.
They have like fresh, cold, loads of
condensation fall to the brim. They have
slightly warmer with less condensation.
So, I'm assuming that this condensation
is probably some sort of transparent
effect that has a a time factor
associated to it. The more time goes by,
the more likelihood it is for this to
disappear, the condensation. So, that
about wraps up the photos from Port
Galhorn. Let me know if there's any bits
I missed, cuz there definitely will be,
and drop them in the comments down
below. Make sure you like and subscribe
to see my next video, which will be on
another area of the GTA 6 map. Thank you
so much for watching, and I'll see you
all in the next one. New beginnings on
the cusp. Not too old to adjust. Old
dog, new tricks. Remember I was just a
pup, something dirty in my cup. In my
cup. Clean soul, good karma is a must.
Still my shooter in the cut. I was stuck
inside a rut. In a rut. Played the game,
made bank, move G. Anything to get a
buck. You won't find me in the club. In
the club. I'm in the lab.
look at the information Rockstar dropped
about Port Galhorn and take a look at
some of the hidden details that you may
not have seen. Stay tuned because some
of the hidden details are actually
really impressive. So, this is Port
Galhorn. So, Rockstar have clearly
created a tourism board called Visit
Leonida. And there's different postcards
for different locations. And in today's
video, we're going to go through this
postcard and we're also going to go
through all of the accompanying images
that came with Port Galhorn. So, in this
postcard image, the first thing we can
see, of course, it's nighttime. Captain
Obvious strikes again. So, we can see
that there is a train coming into the
station, and the train of course has
interior lights. So, we have a bit of a
throwback to GTA 4 by having a fully
enterable train interior. We can also
see working signal lights. This is just
another little piece of attention to
detail Rockstar have given to the
railway system to make it a little bit
more convincing and realistic. Yes, I'm
going to say the word realistic a lot
throughout this video. brace yourself.
We can also see that there's no overhead
lines above the train, meaning that
these trains are most likely diesel.
Now, by looking on the left, we can see
that there's an NPC waiting for a train,
and it looks like they're looking down
and on a phone or maybe smoking or
something. But already from this sort of
distance, we're already seeing NPCs,
which is a massive improvement over GTA
5. Now, if we move up just a little bit,
we can see that there's someone sneaking
around the side of a ballista compact.
Now, the way that they're kind of
hunched over makes it look like they're
probably sneaking around looking for a
way to break into a car. And back in the
2022 leaks, we saw that we actually had
some new tools to break into vehicles.
Things like slim gyms, lockpicking
tools, and stuff like that. So, this
looks like an NPC is being stealthy and
breaking into a vehicle. This also ties
into this area of the map. It's a
slightly rundown area of the map. So,
this is probably where we're seeing more
activities at night like this. And this
is the first time we see NPCs breaking
into vehicles into a GTA game. So, this
is really interesting. Now, this person
could either be trying to break into the
car to steal it or trying to break an
item out of the vehicle, maybe go
through a glove box or something. I
think now we're reaching into the realms
of possibility, but less likely the more
we go on. They're probably just trying
to steal the car. It all depends how
close Rockstar try to go to real life.
Now, moving over to the right of the
picture, we can see that there's an
orange juice stand or an orange juice
bar, whatever it might be. Well, this is
the symbol of Florida, the orange. And
this is going to be a common reoccurring
theme throughout a lot of the imagery
that we see for anything to do with
Leonida. From this screenshot, we can
also see how good the lighting is in
Grand Theft Auto 6. from the headlights
of the vehicles. This just looks
probably a good 50 to maybe twice as
good percent as it did look in Grand
Theft Auto 5. It looks really impressive
and the way that light interacts and
bounces off objects is so much more
realistic compared to anything we've
seen before from a Rockstar title. We
also have reflectors in the road. Now,
these reflectors obviously respond to
light from headlights. And now with ray
trace reflections, they can do this. We
can see that as we get out of the beam
and the headlights, these lights appear
to kind of disappear. And the other side
of the road, you can't really see them.
You see them a little bit around the
edge, but they seem to disappear
overall. Now, in the distance, we can
see that the draw distance is absolutely
amazing. The fact that we can actually
see these smoke stacks with smoke going
along at such a long distance. This is
not something we've seen from Rockstar
before. We started to see some instances
of it in um Red Dead Redemption in some
of the industrial oldie areas, but this
draw distance is absolutely incredible.
Now, back over towards the left, you'll
see that we have this, which is a repair
and salvage yard. Now, this might be
important to some parts of the story.
Now, back in the 2022 leaks, we could
see that we could pick up car parts and
find car parts around the map. Well,
salvage yards will most likely be the
best place to do that. Not sure what
that has to do with the story, whether
it's repairing or rebuilding vehicles.
Obviously, eventually we will find out.
But some other little key things to note
is there's actually a couple of boats in
the salvage yard. So, you can't really
see it too well, but there appears to be
a boat here. Or is that the rooftop?
That might be a rooftop. Ignore me. I'm
chatting [ __ ] That though over here,
this is definitely a boat in this
salvage yard. Now, of course, boats
being a massive theme of Grand Theft
Auto 6, and me being an absolute boat
nerd, this excites me. Now, if we look
into the distance, we can see lights
going on for the longest distance
possible. I mean, we can see markers in
the water all the way over here, which
is a significant distance. Now, these
markers are usually channel markers to
show boats where the water has been
dredged and where it's deep enough for
big ships to come out. And we'll talk
about ships coming in and out in a
second. Now, the next thing I want to
talk about is there's a kind of little
island over here. We can't really see
what's on it, but it does look a little
bit industrial. It looks like these
things here are big silos for something.
Not 100% sure. It's just not clear
enough to be able to make out. We also
behind this water tower, we have another
either an island or a peninsula over
here. And this looks like has a lot more
lighting on it. Maybe it's industrial, a
quarry or something. It's once again
very difficult to tell. Now heading over
here, we can see that we have a building
under construction. Now in Red Dead
Redemption 2, over time buildings were
in construction and they finally got
finished towards the end of the game.
Maybe it could be similar with some of
the locations in GTA 6 if Rockstar take
their technology from 2018 and put it
towards this game. Maybe over time this
building might maybe possibly perhaps
could get finished. Now off in the
distance we have the ports. Now this is
Port Galhorn, the actual port of
Galhorn. We can see that there's a
smaller vessel here and it appears to be
a shipping container just going behind
this construction building. Now, there
aren't any lights on inside the shipping
container and maybe there's some more
docking space for more boats to come and
go. But this whole area in itself over
here with all of these cranes is about
the size of the port that we had in GTA
5. So, if we look at the whole of Port
Galhorn, the distance, all of the
industrial areas in the distance, it
gives you a good understanding of the
actual scale of the location that we're
dealing with. This place is absolutely
massive. You know what else is? Now,
zooming out a little bit, we can
actually see that it's not actually
fully nighttime yet. We can see the sun
setting off in the distance and these
clouds are just very thick rain clouds.
So, the bottom of the scene does look
extremely dark, but in reality, it's
still daytime in Leonida. This gives you
a good understanding how that if you're
over here in the distance somewhere, you
may be experiencing different weather
and different dynamics to a different
part of the map, all depending on the
weather systems that are built in. In
Grand Theft Auto 5, if it rains, it
rains. But it looks like in here,
different parts of the map will be
experiencing different lighting and
different weather dynamics at different
parts of the day/week. I mean, it
wouldn't make sense to rain in a
different part of the map if there were
no clouds. And as we can see off in the
distance, there are no clouds. Now,
before we move on to the next image, I
just want to say a brief thank you to
today's video sponsor, Into the A.M.
Now, Into the AM is a clothing company.
And whether it's everyday clothing or
just chilling at home or whether it's
going out, they have the clothing that
you need. Now, I've been wearing all of
the Into the AM stuff for weeks now. In
fact, you may have seen me wearing this
very hat for at least the past 2 or 3
weeks. That's because it's actually
better than my own merch hat, but let's
not talk about that. And on their
website, you can find a range of
clothing to meet your needs. Not only is
their stuff extremely comfy, like
genuinely, this is the comfiest thing
I've ever owned. And this hat
is these are so comfy. I love them. But
also, everything on their site is also
affordable. And that's a big thing. I've
had many clothing companies reach out to
me, and a lot of their clothing is so
expensive that I just can't get behind
it. But with Into the AM, their stuff is
not only quality, comfortable, and
affordable, but also their business has
a really good backstory behind it. Now,
you should definitely go and check out
their website at the link below. And you
can also save yourself 10% by using that
link as well. So, thank you to Into the
AM for sponsoring today's video. And
let's get back to the video. Now, we're
going to move on to the next image. And
I'm sure there's probably a couple of
things that we've missed in here. I did
have a little look around here, but
there's not really anything that's too
telling of what's going on inside the
map. So, we will move on to the next
bit. So, the next image is the Starlet
Motel, and we actually saw this back in
the 2022 leaks, but back then it did
look vastly different to how it looks
now. Now, some things I want to point
out. We're going to zoom right in and
start in the bottom lefthand corner. You
can see that the ray tracing is
absolutely insane. In fact, you can see
the reflection of this guy's legs down
in that puddle. That's absolutely
incredible, and it's a really good piece
of attention to detail. And once again,
we can see reflections off the side of
these bolards. That's just ray tracing
and global illumination for you. Now,
moving over, we have this vehicle. Now,
I've seen a lot of people talking about
this image, but I haven't seen anyone
mention the fact that this is a squatted
truck. Now, in America, well, in some
parts of America, squatting trucks is a
popular thing to do. To be honest, I
personally don't understand it, but each
to their own. The whole idea is that you
lower the suspension on the rear and you
keep the front of the suspension the
same way, so the truck squats. Now, I
find it almost impossible that we're
going to get into this vehicle and then
Rockstar are just going to automatically
level the car out so it's not squatted
anymore. That wouldn't make sense. In
reality, this probably means that
Rockstar in their vehicle customization
are going to allow us to adjust the
suspension for the front and rear
separately, which is a really cool piece
of attention to detail. We also have
this woman that may be a lady of the
night, I don't know, talking to someone
that's inside the vehicle. And even from
here, we can see that there's some
lights and some dials and knobs on the
dash. There is a bit of detail even from
this distance. Now, moving across just a
little bit more, we can see that the
headlights of the truck are reflecting
off the wall. Once again, ray tracing.
We have a lady over here taking a
picture of the cats with the flash on
her phone. And you can even see the
flash from her phone reflecting down
onto the floor. A really nice piece of
attention to detail. We also have
rubbish bags over here. Now, this is
very heavily into speculation street,
but we saw in Red Dead Redemption 2 that
there was like construction workers and
people working and doing stuff and
picking up rubbish and moving stuff
around. I'm assuming that in Grand Theft
Auto 6, they're probably going to have
similar cycles for people in the game.
We saw in the trailer that there was
roadside workers working on the
roadside, so maybe we'll have people
coming along and doing trash collection.
Now, moving along just a little bit
more, we can actually see that this
building has an interior. Now, it is
entirely possible that this building
actually plays a part in the story. Now,
what I mean by that is this looks like
it could be a safe house or a base for
Jason and Lucia. There's some shots in a
motel that could be based here. We don't
know 100% for sure, but it does look
like it's based at this particular
location. This scene just looks so
incredible. Sorry, I just had to pause
for a minute and just have a look at it.
Now, looking over to the right,
something that's also pretty impressive.
None of these bricks appear to be the
same pattern. It doesn't look like
they've been duplicating assets. It
looks like this is one complex texture
that they've put across the whole wall.
Just a really nice piece of attention to
detail. And yes, I keep saying
that. Up here, these power lines. Once
again, we have the light reflecting from
the motel sign to the underneath of the
power cables, but also the way that
they're attached looks far more
realistic. Rather than everything being
uniform, we can see that the power lines
appear to be coming off at their own
angle. And in the first GTA trailer, and
I haven't actually looked at it in the
second GTA, but we can see power lines
are actually moving when birds and stuff
land on them. So, I'm assuming that
these will have their own physics as
well, which is once again attention to
detail. Now, moving over to the left a
little bit, we're going to zoom in a
little bit more. We can see someone
sunbathing at night, probably more
realistically having a nap. And next to
them is an empty swimming pool. Well,
not completely empty. There's a bit of
greenish sludge down in the bottom of
the pool, but overall, let's just call
it an empty pool. Overall, this is a
pretty rundown area. Now, zooming over
here, we have a barbecue on top of a gas
canister. And I believe we saw this in
the leaks as well. I was in the same
scene. Now, next, let's just have a
little bit of pool and Wi-Fi. The pool
is a bit optimistic, isn't it? Won't
want to swim in that. If I zoom in over
here, we can see that there's a sign in
the background. I can't quite make out
what this is advertising. Maybe you guys
in the comments might be able to
elaborate what that could be. Just drop
a comment and let me know what you think
it could be. Now, the next thing I want
to talk about is this here. So, see this
radio mast. We can see it going all the
way down to the floor. Now, I have a
theory, and it's a theory that I've been
perpetuating quite a lot throughout my
channel, but I'd love to hear your
thoughts. So, I think the navigation
system in the vehicles on Grand Theft
Auto will most likely be phone based. So
when you get into a vehicle, your phone
will pop up. Rather than having a
display for the phone and for your
navigation, they'll probably be like a
Google Maps or Apple Maps style app in
the game for your navigation. Now, these
towers, there's a lot of these dotted
throughout the map. And they are
absolutely huge. This looks like it's
going to be a key location, a safe
house. If you're in a helicopter and
you're just flying around, you'll know
just to look for one of these masks to
know when you're nearby your safe house.
We also have on top of Brian's Marina,
we also have a big sign on top of there
that just says Brian's Marina on the top
of it. So, we know how to get to Brian's
when we need to go there for a mission.
I think that Rockstar might try and do
more subtle things like this to signify
key locations in the map. So, we are
less reliant on the navigation in the
game. Just a theory, but I'm keen to
hear what you guys think about that. So,
in this shot, there's actually quite a
lot of things that we can look at. So,
we'll start off from right to left and
work our way through. But the first
thing I want to say about the shot is
the lighting is incredible. The neon
lights, the reflection from headlights,
and the overall kind of cohesive look of
this image as a vibe, as a place just
looks absolutely amazing. So, we'll
start off from the right hand side of
the image. We can see that there is a
homeless guy pushing around a trolley.
And all of the details here are
absolutely exceptional. We can see that
not only is the clothes dirtier and a
bit more kind of like ragged and shoes
are as well, but the actual details of
the things in the shopping cart also
look a bit weathered and worn. And I
know I keep saying it, but attention to
detail. You can really see that Rockstar
have applied themselves here. Now, when
it comes to the things like this sign,
the actual dirt around the edge of the
sign and the way that it's kind of
darkened up around the edges where water
would have dripped over the edge and
dirt would have got caught just looks
amazing. The signage itself looks real.
Like the same goes for all of these
screenshots. These could all be photos.
They could all be photos. It's amazing.
Then going to this car down here. So, of
course, we have something which looks a
bit like a hybrid between a few
different cars. It to me, it's got kind
of like the rear light shape of a BMW 5
series or the curve of an Infiniti. It's
really hard to say, but once again, the
detail in the interior through the back
window is amazing. Now, we're going to
move back up to the right side of the
shot. So you can see down the road we
can see lights coming through from a
headlights of another vehicle coming up
an adjacent road. And you see some
signage over there. So we're already
getting quite significant draw distance
on things like headlights of the
vehicles. And same going for down here
as well. We can see that kind of global
illumination coming from some of the
lighting coming from this house. I'm not
sure if it's been raining. It's probably
probably has been raining. This could
also be kind of like condensation on the
floor as well cuz you know damp climate.
But yeah, you can see how wet the floor
is. It looks amazing. Now, going over to
over here, we've got a pickup truck. And
the detail in the wheels and on the
tires is incredible. I absolutely love
it. And of course, we've got a big fat
rear differential. And we've got two
guys around the corner. I think one of
them's lighting a cigarette. It looks
like he's lighting a cigarette or
smoking some
stuff. Don't get demonetized. Then, of
course, we can see someone getting
thrown out. We can also see as well,
this isn't just a club for gentlemen.
It's not just a gentleman's club. They
also have a ladies night which shows
that there's kind of like a calendar
system being applied to some of the
events around the world. Then looking
over here to the left, it looks like we
have some dancers. And I believe that
might be Does that look like a woman
that's been thrown out? No, it's a dude.
It's a dude. Now looking off into the
distance, what can we see over here? We
can see a house. And this appears to be
a waterway. Does that look like a road
or a waterway? No, it's definitely a
road. Definitely a road. But we can see
a house with some steps going up to it.
Once again, bright lights in the
background. And we can also see some
examples of some not sure if this is
traffic lights or if this is some sort
of radio mass up in the distance. Now,
moving back down to the bottom again, I
want to talk about some vehicle stuff.
Now, I will be doing a full dedicated
video to all the vehicles we can see in
the game, but the cars are very
associative with this part of the map.
We're not seeing supercars in Port
Galhorn because that just wouldn't make
sense. Of course, this over here looks
like a ver behind the
um gentleman's club um with some red
lights in it and some seating area
outside. I'm just having a little look
around to see what other stuff that we
can see. Once again, back here we have
trolleys and we have some like waste and
dirt. Now, this is something that I
mentioned in my full trailer tear down,
but the trash on the floor looks
believable. Whereas in GTA 5, there was
like bits of trash on the floor, but it
didn't look anywhere near as detailed as
this. The same thing goes for these like
this grass, these weeds and stuff. Just
looks really impressive. Now down here
we have I believe now cuz I don't live
in America, but I believe these are fire
hydrants. Be interesting to see if a
fire department does come whether they'd
actually use any of this. Probably not.
That's probably far too much realism. It
is a game at the end of the day. But
it's really cool how much details gone
into some of those things. And now let's
move on to the next scene. So in this
image appears to look like it's a grow.
And I'm saying that because that is the
devil's lettuce. And I I've seen some
devil's lettuce and I'm telling you
that's devil's lettuce. But also down
here we seem to have UV lights
reflecting off this box. And in the
background you can see some purple from
some UV lamps. So let's just say that
this is a grow because it is. Some
things to note here that the details in
this skin look absolutely incredible. We
can see some scarring around here which
is awesome. We can also see some age
marks around here. We can also see you
know more thicker darker knuckles maybe
from some physical action. Overall, the
I mean, you can look for yourselves. The
skin just looks absolutely incredible,
and I'm genuinely extremely impressed.
This does beg the question, will our
characters be able to have marks and
scars from incidents or accidents they
involve themselves in? If you have a
tattoo and you get your arm shot to
pieces, we have to get the tattoo
redone. All of that sort of stuff.
Probably going down the route of too
much realism there. But something else I
have noticed is certain characters wear
their clothes in a different way. Some
people have their like pants sagged down
a little bit. Some people have like tank
tops or some people roll their sleeves
up. You'll see it in different shots
throughout the trailer. And of course,
all of this artwork, there's different
ways that people wear their clothes.
Now, it is possible that maybe in the
wardrobe options for our characters,
we'll have some way to adjust some of
these areas and functionality ourselves.
Don't really know, just speculation. But
there is a lot of different styles of
wearing clothes that I've seen
throughout the trailer. So, I'm keen to
see what you guys think about that. You
can also see in the jewelry and in the
uh the chains, the wrist chain there and
the neck chain. There is so much detail.
And as we saw from Jason and Lucia in
the trailer, whenever they move around,
this jewelry moves and kind of like has
its own physics and gravity. So, I'm
really keen to see how far they go with
some of this uh jewelry stuff. It's
really cool. I love it. Now, in this
next shot, you can see a woman handing a
bag of what appears to be Viagra to a
guy in the back of the car. Now, an
interesting point to note is the amount
of detail in the door textures. If we
just zoom in, you can see all of the
individual pores of this either real
leather, fake leather, or plastic that's
been imprinted or stamped. Even the
textures in the plastic on the inlay of
the door handle. This is just so much
detail. We even have here dirt, which
this dirt here is built up around the
bottom of the door handle cuz that's a
part of the handle that does get dirty
because you grab here. That is obscene
levels of detail, Rockstar. Like, no one
had to do that. They did that because
Oh, that looks realistic. I'm just
overall really impressed. We also have
the bottom half of the door here, which
is like leather stitching. You can even
see if I zoom in, you can even see like
the imprint around the edge where this
has been formed in shape. Just
incredible attention to detail. We also
have Rockstar flexing here with the way
that light passes through the edge of
this kind of like uh heat shrunk bag.
It's just you'll see this a lot in the
trailer. A lot of glass objects that
Rockstar used to show how light kind of
refracts or diffuses through these
objects. It's so good. Oh, Rockstar.
Now, on the forehead of this person, we
can see that there's dice. Now, this
tattoo appears a few times in a few
places throughout both the trailer and
some of the artworks. I'm assuming that
this is a gang affiliation. Now, the
symbolism of dice and rolling the dice
is usually taking risk and taking
chances. So, maybe that's something to
do with one of the gangs or the groups
in the game. I guess we will find that
out at some point in the story. We can
also see a really glassy look in this
character's eyes. It's really
impressive. Like this kind of wet look
with reflections. This stuff in games is
genuinely really hard to pull off
convincingly, otherwise it just looks
like the character's crying. So, yeah,
I'm really impressed. And once again, we
have all of these scars and
imperfections on the face. It just it
looks real. It just looks real. Now, in
this shot, we have a few things going
on. Firstly, we have how filthy this
truck is. And Rockstar have clearly paid
attention to different sorts of dirt.
No, I don't mean that sort of dirt. I
mean, this dirt is not from dust. It's
from muddy water droplets. Very
different from the dirt that was on
Brian's car in the trailer. Now, on the
top left, we can see that we're in a
trailer park from the trailer in the
background. And we can also see the NPCs
are sat in different positions on the
bed of the truck. This is a huge
difference from what we saw in Red Dead
Redemption 2 where NPCs tended to kind
of sit in the same way or have a uniform
way of uh sitting on certain sorts of
furniture and in fact only sitting on
furniture or things that were designated
to be sat on. In this instance, we can
see that the truck bed is open and
people are just chilling and sat in
different ways. Now looking up, we can
see this cold lighting over the trailer
park and we can see that this light
source is pretty much dictating the
whole back half of this scene. That's
once again ray tracing for you. Now a
bit further to the right, we can see an
NPC carrying a pallet while holding a
bottle of beer. We can also see that
he's kind of struggling to hold the
pallet from the look on his face. And we
have this guy looking at him. This kind
of shows that NPCs are a bit more aware
of what's happening around them. And
NPCs seem to have a bit of their own
kind of form of self-awareness. We can
also see that these NPCs are in groups.
We have this guy sat on the floor with
his partner sat in the chair. We have
these two people over here, one on their
phone, one drinking a beer. We have this
couple in the background that appear to
be kissing or smooching. And once again,
it's warped because of the heat from the
fire causing this kind of haze. And this
whole idea of NPCs being in groups is
something that Rockstar have never
really done properly before. They kind
of touched on it in Red Dead Redemption
2, but this kind of social setting where
people have their own clicks, they have
their own partners, they have people
that they stand closer to or sit closer
to is once again just Rockstar imitating
real life. Also, this fire needs a
mention. Like, we can see all of these
embers going up into the sky. Just this
fire just looks so realistic. It's
really impressive stuff. Now, in this
cooler, we don't just have one type of
beer. We've got a different variety of
beers with different bottle colors and
liquid colors. We've got C-3 ones. They
got more brown ones. This isn't just
like one asset pack that they've stuck
in there. This is like actual attention
to detail of how beers sit in a cooler.
Now, let's move to the focal point of
the scene. We have this man and lady,
and the lady is telling the man to be
quiet whilst making advances towards his
trousers. Now, we can see firstly the
way that materials conforms to the shape
of the character's body, whether it's
these trousers or this kind of like
brallet, bra thingy, what's it called?
Bikini top. I don't even know what is
this called. I don't know. You get the
idea. That thing, the American flag
thing she's wearing. We can also see the
detail in the hairs on his chest and on
his stomach. And of course, where the
light reflects off sweat, which is once
again insane attention to detail. We
also see her kind of like
smirking/biting her lip, which is kind
of a new dynamic for a facial animation
that I've not seen Rockstar do before.
It's just the amount of attention to
detail here is just phenomenal. I'm just
so blown away by all of this. We can see
the sweat actually running down his
skin. And we also saw this in the
trailer as well. This isn't just visible
in screenshots. Now, with this beer, and
I want to talk about this, you'll see
that there's some light condensation on
the beer. And you'll notice in the
trailer and in some of the artwork shots
as well, beers have different states.
They have like fresh, cold, loads of
condensation fall to the brim. They have
slightly warmer with less condensation.
So, I'm assuming that this condensation
is probably some sort of transparent
effect that has a a time factor
associated to it. The more time goes by,
the more likelihood it is for this to
disappear, the condensation. So, that
about wraps up the photos from Port
Galhorn. Let me know if there's any bits
I missed, cuz there definitely will be,
and drop them in the comments down
below. Make sure you like and subscribe
to see my next video, which will be on
another area of the GTA 6 map. Thank you
so much for watching, and I'll see you
all in the next one. New beginnings on
the cusp. Not too old to adjust. Old
dog, new tricks. Remember I was just a
pup, something dirty in my cup. In my
cup. Clean soul, good karma is a must.
Still my shooter in the cut. I was stuck
inside a rut. In a rut. Played the game,
made bank, move G. Anything to get a
buck. You won't find me in the club. In
the club. I'm in the lab.
