as the wait for GTA 6 is on get your

I’ll be talking about what that is how
it affects you guys and a whole lot more
on this video today so I spotted this
article on PC Gamer the title is the
Spectre of a GTA 6 delay haunts the
games industry some companies are going
to tank if they guess wrong says analyst
will GTA 6 actually release in 2025 it’s
what everyone in the business wants to
know and this again is something we’ve
talked about over the last couple of
weeks and days and it is something that
is going to have large impacts on more
than just the fans that are looking
forward to playing the game and so this
analyst has a crazy warning but this is
what the article goes on to say the near
future plans of miname Studios depend on
whether or not Grand Theft Auto 6
actually releases this year and making
the wrong guess could be disastrous for
them says Ben Porter director of
Consulting at games intelligence
industry firm nuu he goes on to say this
if you’re a game company who’s holding
its breath waiting for GTA 6 to get out
and then it gets delayed by 3 four five
6 months what do you do said Porter in
an interview with PC Gamer at GDC 2025
this week you either have to be able to
launch into that big black hole that’s
been left open now or you have to extend
your run rate by an additional 6 months
I’m certain some companies are going to
tank as a result of that right and even
though the only update we’ve gotten on
GTA 6’s release date has come from its
parent company take to interactive they
say it’s going to come out in Fall 2025
Rockstar still says calendar year 2025
of course that’s cuz they haven’t
updated Us in nearly 500 Days and we
know that Rockstar is a major history of
delaying titles at least all their
recent ones have come with some what
significant delays and I would say now
most modern video games come with delays
now GTA 6 could be different it could be
an internal delay and therefore we don’t
actually see the public one like the
likes of Assassin’s Creed Shadows
Starfield cyberpunk 2077 all those major
games ended up getting now the article
goes on to say this it’s also common for
Studios to time their releases to avoid
big competitors that are likely to hog
the Limelight and there isn’t a bigger
hog than a new GTA even very Niche games
might want to get out of the way picking
release dates in spring or summer 2026
but if GTA 6 is delayed to spring or
summer 2026 those developers could end
up having to push their release dates
even further out a setback like that
could be disastrous for a studio whose
finances are already fragile and given
the number of closures we’ve seen in
recent years Financial fragility doesn’t
seem rare on the other hand a last
minute GTA 6 delay would be a big
opportunity for anyone who can fill the
space with a game that Tides over dis
disappointed fans there’s a lot of money
writing on what Rockstar decides to do
before Year’s End and not just for
Rockstar and there’s evidence for both
camps to say the game is going to get
delayed versus not going to get delayed
some argument that fans have been making
is why would Rockstar or I should say
their parent company take to interactive
release Borderlands 4 on September 23rd
2025 and then try and squeeze Grand
Theft a 6 in there around the same time
period some have said that’s a huge deal
breaker others have said that T2 and
Rockstar don’t really care about that
that it’s not going to impact either
game so it will be interesting to see
what they ultimately do now the article
importer goes on to say this there’s
some hope that the games industry as a
whole could get a boost from GTA 6’s
release which if nothing else will
probably get a lot of people to upgrade
their consoles but he doubts that
industry executives are going to be all
smiles this fall whatever happens going
on to say you hear a lot of people who
are saying that GTA 6 is going to
rejuvenate the market and I think
there’s an element of Truth to that but
I don’t think it’s necessarily going to
be universally uplifting it’ll certainly
have an effect it’ll put eyes back on
the gamees market from investors and
things like that but everyone that we’re
talking to their ship’s trying to move
out of the way of this big iceberg that
is GTA 6 everyone’s trying to pull their
game forward push their game back their
strategy is to get out of the way so if
that’s what everyone’s behavior is then
how do you believe that’s going to
rejuvenate the game’s industry and that
is certainly an interesting question and
an interesting topic I of conversation
as well do you think GTA 6 will actually
improve the game’s ecosystem as a whole
or because of how volatile things are
right now with companies unsure of when
their games are going to be coming out
because of the uncertainty of GTA 6 is
it just causing more confusion and
fragility is the article used in the
games industry I’ll leave that question

below Now While most game developers
seem to be scared of Grand Theft Auto 6
or at least just fearful of when it’s
going to be coming out not all of them
are treating it this way in fact some
are having a little bit of fun with the
entire Saga devolver digital which is
another video game development company
you guys have probably played some of
their titles they’ve actually just sort
of leaned into the whole thing and they
ended up posting this the other day
going to release a game the exact same
day and time as GTA 6 I think it’s
pretty obvious that devolve digital is
likely joking in some capacity here that
feels like it really has to be an
instant death wish for pretty much any
game to release on the same date and
time as rockstars Grand Theft Auto 6 but
posts like that are getting more people
to talk about GTA 6 it’s trending on
social media right now when I’m making
this video and again that’s something
that kind of traditionally happens when
lots of people start talking about
Rockstar and GTA 6 the lack of new news
or huge news that might be happening and
another company that seems to be leaning
into the GTA 6 hype is Domino’s Pizza
yes that’s right a brand you’re probably
very familiar with they put out another
post related to Grand Theft Auto 6 the
other day saying if trailer 2 doesn’t
drop today which was on March 25th we’ll
still keep y’all fed Rockstar Games we
think we can stuff more action into GTA
6 want to collab and they ended up
putting out this graphic right here
Domin GTA 6 proposed road map a new
Mission which allows you to grind as a
Domino’s delivery driver to stuff your
pockets a new clothing item such as a
Domino’s delivery driver shirt a new
delivery getting parmesan stuffed crust
delivered in game and a new car a
Domino’s delivery car saying important
note we’re willing to stuff more into
GTA 6 Rockstar DM us and like I
mentioned earlier this is essentially
Domino’s second or third time they’ve
mentioned Grand Theft Auto 6 in about a
week’s time creating clever Graphics
throwing back to pizza delivery missions
which again did start in GTA Vice City
and Rockstar has sort of brought back
more recently in Grand Theft Auto online
I don’t know what they’re up to maybe
they’re just looking for some free
promotion either way it’s kind of
interesting so again there’s a lot of
companies that are leaning into the
Grand Theft Auto 6 hype wondering where
the update is from Rockstar wondering
where the second trailer for the game is
and the impacts that will have
ultimately on the release date and for
other video games out there but anyways
