So, it's been about a month since Rockstar Games gave us the second trailer for Grand Theft Auto 6, where they updated their website, gave us a ton of new screenshots, information on sort of the places we'll be visiting in the world of Vice City in the state of Leonida and the characters that we'll be playing as and interacting with. But that still raises the question, when will we hear from Rockstar Games next? And I think I have a pretty good idea based on what they did with Red Dead Redemption 2. We'll be diving into all that in this video today and a whole lot more. So, Rockstar actually revealed this on one of their newswire posts last week, and it doesn't have anything to do with Grand Theft Auto 6, but I believe there's going to be something about that game included in what Rockstar is doing. So, let's go ahead and jump into it right now. It came out last week on May 29th, 2025. It was a newswire post about executive bonuses, climbing the corporate ladder in GTA Online, triple rewards on special vehicle work, two times money and RP on export mixed good missions and more. And there was one specific section that talked about GTA Plus benefits and bonuses. They went on to say this. This is also the perfect time to level up operations by taking 30% off executive offices, special cargo warehouses, and a trio of CEO tier Buckingham aircraft. And if you're a GTA Plus member, target the zenith of your executive career with double rewards on special cargo sale missions and three times money in RP on VIP working challenges through June 16th. And that's the key right there, June 16th. Because if we take a look at a calendar, June 16th is a Monday, meaning whatever new event period that would start would begin on a Tuesday. This only happens when Rockstar has a DLC planned to release the next day. Otherwise, it would expire on a Wednesday and would start over when the event week began on Thursday. And they also used to show this information on the GTA Plus website, but Rockstar has seemingly updated that over the last couple of weeks and months. So now we just have to rely on the newswire to tell us that. As I'm, you know, editing this video, I'm scrolling through it right now and I can't really seem to find it. But either way, that means we are going to be getting a new GTA Online DLC on June 17th, which is Tuesday, which is very exciting because that's really only in a couple of weeks. And this is something that Rockstar has done in the past. even with one of the last DLC's bottom dollar bounties just one day before the start of the new GTA Plus event period that gave away the DLC's expected release date. And something similar has happened here. We now know that that's going to be on June 17th. So again, you might be wondering, what does this have to do with Grand Theft Auto 6? Well, now that Rockstar has officially started the marketing period for GTA 6. And I guess you could technically say it started when they made the announcement back in November 2023 that there was going to be a trailer and then launched the first trailer in December 2023. But then they went basically a year and a half of total silence. So I feel like that first trailer was just to acknowledge the game's existence and to give us a little bit of a taste of what to expect. But I really do feel with the second trailer also getting a confirmed release date of exactly when it's going to be releasing May 26, 2026. Getting the updated Grand Theft Auto 6 website which has screenshots, information about the characters, tons of artwork, etc. I mean, essentially the only thing we're missing right now is the ability to pre-order the game. But that really does feel like it is the official marketing phase. And I feel like this gives Rockstar the opportunity to do some cross collaboration and promotion just like what they did with Red Dead Redemption 2. And in case you guys have no idea what I'm talking about, on December 15th, 2017, Rockstar introduced the gold double-action revolver into Grand Theft Auto Online, saying, "Rumors of a lost relic from the Frontier have begun to surface, and treasure awaits those bold enough to seek it. Keep an eye on your IR for a special in-game email containing the first clue. Then follow the trail to unlock the double-action revolver in online. Once you acquire the gratus double-action revolver, complete the headshot challenge in free mode for $250,000 reward and unlock it for future gunslinger exploits in Red Dead Redemption 2 on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. So essentially, if you completed this little treasure hunt, which was fun and easy to do, and then you completed a challenge, not only would you get some free money, but you would unlock that weapon in Red Dead Redemption 2. And they also did the exact same thing a couple of months later, right before the release of Red Dead Redemption 2 for the Stone Hatchet on August 3rd, 2018. Remember, Red Dead Redemption 2 came out just a couple of months later in October. They said with no shortage of reprobates across Los Santos and Blaine County, Ma Eckles has put the dream of a white picket fence, a husband, and a dog named Skip on hold to reignite her burning passion for justice. Keep an eye out for a text message from Ma for bounties. Collect these new bounty targets dead or alive to complete the challenge and unlock the location of the stone hatchet in GTA Online. Once you acquire this brutal weapon, complete the kills challenge for a $250,000 bonus and to unlock it in Red Dead Redemption 2 on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. So, they continued that trend and Rockstar did a good job with this cuz they were obviously very limited with what they could do. Remember that Red Dead Redemption 2 took place in 1899. There's only so many applicable things that make sense in 1899 in a modern-day Grand Theft Auto Online in in fictional Los Angeles. So, they did a pretty good job with the revolver and the stone hatchet. And now Rockstar is the same opportunity to do something with this GTA online update. And the reason I say that is because they are running out of opportunities. If you really think about it, this should be the second to last Grand Theft Auto Online DLC. This will be our last summer in Los Santos. We're going to have a summer DLC and one in the winter. So, this gives Rockstar the opportunity, just like what they did with Red Dead Redemption 2, to have two styled treasure hunts that allow us to unlock items in Grand Theft Auto 6. Now, with GTA 6, Rockstar is a lot more freedom here because the game takes place in the future and in modern times. So, they aren't going to be limited to antique weapons. They could be modern guns, rifles, or firearms. It could be piece of clothing, jewelry, accessories. is it could even be as rare as something like a vehicle that you unlock on day one or like an exclusive supercar or sports car that if you find the keys to that'll automatically transfer to Jason and Lucia when Grand Theft Auto 6 arrives if you play it on the same account. I could totally see them doing something like this. Now, if Rockstar does do this type of collaboration again, I would imagine it would be something similar. Even though Grand Theft Auto Online has survived for over a decade, it's still a game that was built for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. So, they are a little bit limited to what they could do. So, I would imagine it would probably at the end of the day be a treasure hunt if anything else or at least some sort of variant or version of that. But that is when I believe we will hear from Rockstar next about Grand Theft Auto 6. I don't think it's going to be a direct Grand Theft Auto 6 announcement or update, but I do believe it will be mentioned in whatever DLC we're going to be getting our hands on on June 17th. And I truly do believe that now because the marketing phase has started and because they've shown us so much. I mean, just going back through all the different screenshots, you can see tons of different types of weapons. You can see tons of different types of vehicles. And I literally just thought about this while working on this video and doing the voice over. They could also do it in reverse. They could bring over something that we saw in the Grand Theft Auto 6 second trailer and have it be unlocked in Grand Theft Auto Online. Like, for example, what if we got access to Jason's car. In fact, we now know, thanks to some eagle-eyed fans, what the name of the car actually is. It's the Vapid Creado. So, this can actually be discovered thanks to one of the videos posted on Rockstar's site uh involving Lucia. She's sort of sticking her head out the car window. And in one of the first few frames, you can see the name on the side of the vehicle. It says Criato or Crio. I don't know how that's pronounced. The vehicle seems to be heavily based on a fifth generation Ford Rancherero GT. The name Criato is the Spanish word meaning created. So, this vehicle could very well be backported into Grand Theft Auto Online and the treasure hunt might give you the ability to get it for free. Either way, you can see where I'm getting at here. There's going to be some sort of cross promotion here where you get something in Grand Theft Auto Online or you get something in Grand Theft Auto 6. Either way, I believe it's going to be mentioned by Rockstar for the first time since trailer 2. I don't believe they're going to go on this huge info drought like they did from the first and the second trailer. Now that I believe the marketing period has begun, we have an official date for when the game is coming out. Rockstar's updated their site. I feel like they're going all in now. So, that right there is my prediction on when I believe we will hear from Rockstar next about Grand Theft Auto 6. And I believe it's going to feature some sort of free item in online or GTA 6 when the time comes next May. Let me know what you think Rockstar is going to do in those comments down below though.
