Rockstar’s new announcement is sparking
more Grand Theft Auto 6 optimism I’ll be
telling you what they did what the
reaction to it was and more all in this
video today so if you’re like me you
have your notifications turned on for
Rockstar essentially anytime they make a
post on social media or on their
newswire and we kind of got an
interesting update the other day is it
wasn’t about Grand Theft Auto online it
wasn’t about Red Dead online and it did
sort of prompt some GTA 6 optimism this
is what Rockstar said they said Rockstar
Games is now on Discord connect with
players across the community on our
newly launched official server and use
the lfg channels to fill out your crew
join now
discord.gg rockstargames and Rockstar
have had this server for about a month
or so now but this is the first time
they’ve actually acknowledged it
publicly on social media they’ve done so
kind of tucked it away in one of their
previous newswire posts but this is the
first time they like they’ve officially
broadcasted it out to essentially their
millions of followers and again they
posted the exact same artwork that was
associated with the Discord when they
launched it it’s a very cool artwork and
it works very well for like a phone
background or a desktop wallpaper and
you can see that it has received
millions and millions of views and when
Rockstar Games launched their Discord
server we thought that this was in some
way shape or form connected to GTA 6
News coming shortly because one of the
big things things that the Discord
Channel contained was an actual channel
that you could talk about Grand Theft
Auto 6 now the Discord was a complete
disaster it was relatively unmoderated
it was overrun by people just spamming
all sorts of comments and I honestly
haven’t checked back on it since it’s
really launched so hopefully it’s gotten
a little bit better although Rockstar
Games talking about it and promoting it
probably that cycle is going to start
all over again and so with the official
GTA 6 Channel and Rockstar doing this
many fans believe that this was
intentional Rockstar Games aren’t just
going to launch a social media platform
for no reason and the timing of it
particularly interesting because we are
again going on 500 Days since we haven’t
heard anything from Rockstar regarding
Grand Theft a 6 and so because of that
many people are wondering if the Discord
launch is in connection to them finally
wanting to share new information about
that title and I could definitely see
that being the case because you’ve got
this sort of forum where you can talk
about either things you might see on a
trailer or reactions to being able to
pre-order the game or a confirmation of
a release date Etc and we even got a
reaction from the official Discord
social media as well which I thought was
absolutely hilarious because they leaned
into the we got blank before GTA 6 meme
that essentially can apply to pretty
much everything they responded to
Rockstar we got an official Rockstar
server before GTA 6 with the crying face
emoji that is hysterical that they
responded directly to Rockstar that
they’re leaning into it so they have to
know about the joke and the meme at this
point we know that take to interactive
and their CEO Strauss zelnick is aware
of it and finds it pretty funny but
hopefully this means we are creeping
towards the end of Rockstar silence this
is weird that they just decided to
randomly announce it I don’t know why I
I I really don’t understand and the only
thing I can think of is if something GTA
6 related is coming soon now that’s not
to say that the next thing Rockstar
Games will talk about has to be Grand
Theft Auto 6 because actually on their
latest newswire post they kind of double
down on the fact that there is more GTA
online stuff they’re probably going to
end up talking about which is a little
bit disappointing it comes on their last
newswire post which was all about the
Oscar Guzman flies again and at the very
very bottom they ended up posting this
and more to come and anytime you see
like and more to come from Rockstar you
always hope it might like tease
something other than GTA online maybe
like a Grand Theft Auto 6 nugget but
this is what they said look forward to
more action coming down the runway in
the months ahead including a smoked out
version of hunting pack just in time for
420 exciting Community challenges and
holiday celebrations and then in the
last paragraph talking about the free
update that came to GTA 5 in Grand Theft
Auto online on PC with all the features
that we had on consoles new vehicles Etc
so that unfortunately is not the most
optimistic thing in the world and it’s
not to say Rockstar can’t talk about
Grand Theft Auto 6 and talk about Grand
Theft Auto online at the same time in
fact GTA 6’s first trailer came out just
days before a pretty big December update
for online so they’re able to balance
both of those things but that just
doesn’t sound all that optimistic in the
months ahead so you’re thinking that’s
going to be the rest of March April May
June that sounds like a long time and
they it seems like they have a lot of
things to talk about including a new
version of hunting pack that’s going to
be arriving on 420 which is April 20th
holiday celebrations I’m trying to think
what holiday celebrations are coming up
you’ve got a few holidays like St
Patrick’s Day which is in just a few
days you have April Fool’s Day on April
1st you’ve obviously got 420 which
Rockstar has done in the past to sort of
celebrate events you’ve got CCO Deo and
then you really don’t have anything
until the 4th of July but you would
assume there would be a new update uh
around then around Independence Day so I
don’t think that would apply it just
seems weird and it feels like Rockstar
have a lot more they want to share again
I don’t see this as like a total
negative thing it’s just I really wish
there would be something that would
tease us to say hey we will be talking
about Grand Theft Auto 6 soon again just
going on 500 Days of nothing from them
that’s a long time and it seems like
this lack of GTA 6 news is driving
pretty much everyone crazy whether it be
fans or other people in the video game
industry because the official social
media account for enile entertainment
they have created games like Wasteland
and the RPG series they’re working on a
new game called Clockwork I don’t know
if you guys are familiar with their
titles but they have a pretty good siiz
following on social media and the other
day it just sounded like they got so
frustrated because out of the blue they
tweeted can we get another GTA 6 trailer
yet or what gez and that really just
sounds like all of us right now can we
just get something from Rockstar so when
you’ve got other video game studios
tweeting that out when you’ve got the
official Discord Channel responding with
the we got such and such before GTA 6
meme right back at Rockstar you really
do feel like it’s starting to wear down
on everyone no matter what part of the
industry they’re in whether they’re fans
or whether they’re other developers that
create games but anyways that’s all the
information that I’ve got for you guys
in this video today hopefully you did

Auto 6 in any way shape or form I don’t
think today is going to be the day I I’m
pretty sure they have some St Patrick’s
Day plans for GTA online when I’m
recording this video they haven’t posted
