Rockstar Games did it again and this
time they’ve shut down the closest thing
we’re going to get to GTA 6 before it
releases I’ll be telling you about what
I mean and more all in this video today
so Rockstar Games and their parent
company take to interactive are no
strangers to taking down mods especially
when it has to do with projects that
they feel like might interfere with
things they’re working on in the future
we just actually saw this with the
Liberty City preservation project that
just really about 2 weeks after it was
revealed field got taken down by take
two interactive and now a new project
and arguably the closest thing we’re
going to get to Grand Theft Auto 6
before it arrives was just taken down
even really before it launched and what
I’m talking about is a project called
Grand Theft Auto Vice City the next gen
Edition which was actually supposed to
launch tomorrow on January 25th it’s a
fan-made project that transfers the
entirety of ice City into GTA 4’s game
engine including ALS story missions
Collectibles everything and the team
that made this the revolution team
remade a lot of stuff from scratch and
it looks absolutely incredible and so
essentially this would give us the most
modern version of Vice City that we
could play being in Grand Theft Auto 4’s
engine before GTA 6 gets here and we get
to step into Vice City in the state of
leonida for the first time on Modern
systems and in the modern era and so
this is really cool I’ll show you guys
some screenshots right now it
essentially was going to be Grand Theft
Auto 4 but Vice City and it looked
absolutely incredible and obviously when
this project was announced a lot of
people were worried that this is
something that Rockstar and take 2
interactive were almost going to take
down immediately and sure enough that
has essentially happened because just
days before this project was set to
launch Rockstar or take to interactive
actually took down the entire YouTube
channel of the people who were making
GTA Vice City the next gen mod Edition
and they copyright claimed all of the
trailers that they released so it
doesn’t look like this project is going
to be released if it is going to be
released I would just be careful that’s
why I’m not showing any of the trailers
or anything like that uh just because I
don’t think Rockstar appreciates this
one bit I think with the Liberty City
preservation project there was a couple
of reasons why it stayed up longer a it
was released right over the holiday
season take two interactive and Rockstar
weren’t really back at work quite yet
and at the end of the day it was focused
on Liberty City this is specifically
focused on Vice City and rockstar I
believe is going to be very very
sensitive to that sort of stuff because
they don’t want people playing a
modified version of modern-day Vice City
when they want to put out a game GTA 6
that’s going to be taking place in
modern day Vice City and the entire
state of leonida so you can kind of
understand Rockstar there and how they
don’t want this sort of thing to exist
it’s just really unfortunate because not
only is this project extremely cool the
people behind it work exceptionally hard
on it and it would be something that
would allow us to pass the time before
GTA 6 actually gets here but as you guys
know Rockstar take too interactive they
don’t really feel that way so it’s
unfortunate that this project seemingly
isn’t going to get off the ground
although I don’t know enough about it so
I will leave a link in the description
maybe tomorrow when this thing is
supposed to launch you’ll still be able
to play it they just simply took down
the trailers for it right now I don’t

happening over the last couple of days
is we’re literally getting a Grand Theft
Auto 6 game before we get GTA 6 I know
that might be a little bit confusing but
I’ll explain what I mean in a second
these are some of the article headlines
regarding this this is on pcgames
and.com band management game that mocks
GTA 6 secures a steam launch Grand
taking ages is a ropey looking
management game and a ridiculous parody
of GTA 6 and modernday game development
in general again that’s on pcgames
and.com on Insider gaming.com GTA 6
parody game Grand taking ages is
launching on Steam on ign.com Sony
pulled GTA 6 parody game Grand taking
ages from the PlayStation store but now
it’s cleared for release on Steam on
Games Radar GTA 6 parody previously
pulled from PlayStation store now set to
release on Steam after being updated to
emphasize its unique Direction Dev wants
Sony to reconsider so you guys get the
idea there apparently there is this
parody GTA 6 game that was trying to
come out on PlayStation Sony put the axe
on that but it is coming out on PC so
what’s going on here well essentially
this game according to its creators is a
parody management simulator where
players run a video game development
studio and last month despite the entire
game looking like it was AI generated it
appeared on Sony’s list of games you
were able to wish list it on the
PlayStation and it even appeared with a
May 2025 release date and inevitably
Sony pulled Grand taking a six from the
PlayStation store but now it’s back on
Steam after the creators made some key
adjustments so you guys can see probably
why Sony ended up pulling it because if
you just take its acronym GTA6 it’s the
exact same as Grand Theft Auto 6 grand
taking ages and this is clearly
someone’s attempt at essentially making
fun of Rockstar and their development
culture and how long seemingly it takes
to produce their games the description
of brand taking ages is this coming soon
since forever start your game
development journey in mom’s garage
battle angry fans Dodge ruthless
journalist and perfect the art of
creative deadlines survive on pizza and
energy drinks while building your dream
Studio into a slightly better garage so
this is clearly making fun of Rockstar
Games coming soon since forever and how
they put vague release dates and release
windows on essentially everything and so
yes you can literally play GTA 6 before
GTA 6 and the entire game is really
about making GTA 6 this almost sounds
like an Inception movie but it’s
legitimately true and the developers are
actually now trying to get the game back
on Playstation they made some changes
and they said we genuinely believe that
with recent updates Grand taking ages is
now ready to be relisted on the
PlayStation store so honestly I don’t
know what to make of this entire Saga it
really just reemphasizes the point that
we need to hear something soon from
Rockstar and if history is going to
repeat itself luckily we’re not too long
away from that as the last couple of
games that Rockstar have put out Red
Dead Redemption 2 Grand Theft Auto 5 max
pain 3 and GTA 4 their release dates
have all been confirmed at the very end
of January or really the first day of
February so the good news is we don’t
have to wait long and hopefully we won’t
be talking about parody games we’ll be
talking about you know what actually
Rockstar Games is making GTA 6 but let
