in today’s video we’re going to be
discussing everything that happened on
December 27th was there a second trailer
what happens next and a whole lot more
so to give you guys a quick recap on
this December 27th Theory essentially
last week fans were certain that they
were on to something when a Rockstar
Games employees Post surfaced online
showing off Rockstar Games Christmas
merch that they were given as a gift
with a color scheme strikingly similar
to GTA 6’s logo and artwork fans then
noticed a notepad at the bottom
highlighting a trip to Florida leading
to a car company called 27 Auto Sales
and the speculation snowballed from
there when fans pointed out that
Rockstar had exactly 27 posts and reals
on their Instagram essentially leading
fans to believe that on December 27th we
would be getting information on GTA 6
and so really over the last 24 to 48
hours fans were of course on pens and
needles and this only got worse as we
got closer to December 27th when the
voice actor in likeness of Michael D
Santa from GTA 5 Ned Luke ended up
chiming in and he essentially just added
more fuel to the fire by posting
December 27th with five star emojis and
this post on social media blew up as I’m
recording this video it has 5.6 million
views online which is crazy way more
than Ned Luke typically gets on a simple
post and obviously that was was adding
more fuel to the fire many believe
because of his working relationship with
Rockstar Games does Ned Luke know
something that we don’t is he involved
in this potential teaser obviously that
turned out to be just a collaboration
with Asus and Republic of Gamers so good
job on you Ned for using the crazy fan
speculation to just promote one of your
brand products and collaborations and
Partnerships that you had that’s
actually pretty clever but fans were
still holding out hope because on the
December 27th just a couple of hours
before Rockstar’s typical announcement
window this happened they went from 27
posts on their Instagram page down to 26
and typically what this meant is
Rockstar Games was going to make some
sort of announcement now the 27 post
that they’ve typically had is certainly
a lot higher than what they’ve done over
the last couple of months where they’ve
traditionally kept that Mark around 12
to 14 to 15 all of the sudden now it’s
balloon up to 27 which again added more
fuel to this fire and so with 26 posts
and one ready to go fans thought the
announcement was imminent but here’s
what Rockstar did tweeting out this or I
should say posting on all their social
media profiles and on the newswire this
week is your last chance to save during
the Rockstar store holiday sale get 20%
off Red Dead Redemption for PC 50% off
GTA 5 for PC 70% off GTA 4 for PC and
30% off all Rockstar Games apparel and
collectibles sale ends January 7th shop
now and you can see when Rockstar posted
that 9:56 a.m. on December 27th racking
up a incredible amount of views 6.8
million of them you can see all the
responses right there nearly 55,000
responses over 2,000 retweets where
people were posting their own opinions
to this as well essentially this blew up
if Rockstar Games isn’t posting about a
GTA Online update or some sort of big
news or Grand Theft Auto 6 they don’t
end up getting that many millions of
views online but with this and all the
hype around December 27th they did it
just wasn’t the right kind of hype and
many people believed when Rockstar was
posting this that they were doing this
to Simply troll fans that had believed
in this Theory and I don’t believe
that’s correct I honestly feel like this
is just simply an automated post that
was going to go up on December 27th
regardless of what crazy theories the
community had started to believe in now
this of course led to a ton of different
responses online fans being sad freaking
out angry essentially going through all
five stages of grief at this point in
time in fact the Grand Theft Auto 6
subreddit even had to go into lockdown
where you couldn’t post anything online
with their moderators going on to say
sub is in lockdown mode for the next
couple of hours hours with the volumes
of posts we’re getting the sub is
currently locked down and all posts will
be manually reviewed before being posted
to the timeline there is nothing related
to GTA 6 happening today it was a
holiday sale post that Rockstar made and
that’s it all repetitive posts about the
non-announcement will be removed as will
any other post about the sale sorry boys
and girls but 2024 is cooked and being
carved on the table like a 27 lb
Christmas turkey so that was their
response to the non news that happened
on December 7 and we also heard from
some prominent members in the community
like for example Rockstar Games Insider
TZ funds 2 who I would say was the most
confident at least publicly saying that
there wasn’t going to be anything that
was going to be happening on December
27th and so he took to social media to
Simply post this it’s a gif with someone
just with a shocked face pretends to be
shocked obviously him knowing that there
wasn’t really a good chance of anything
happening on this December 27th in fact
he goes on even further to explain why
there was really no chance of anything
like this happening on the GTA Forum
site where he ended up saying this in
the GTA 6 trailer reveal hype thread
Rockstar tends to host a large party to
celebrate trailer reveals for their
Blockbuster titles because such events
are that big of a deal for them giving
employees a chance to meet up this
opportunity however does not work when
those employees are on holiday spending
time with their families instead
this is why one reason you shouldn’t
expect a trailer while everyone at
Rockstar is on holiday it’s not about
whether they’re technically able to
release one or not this is merely one
reason out of many like having to
account for the whole community and not
just 27th Believers and so that should
pretty much wrap up that we very likely
will not hear from Rockstar until the
beginning of the year and that’s kind of
where I want to end this video is kind
of talking about when we could likely
hear from them next because as things
currently stand they’re parent company
take to interactive still has the game
coming out in Fall 2025 and we’ve talked
about this in previous videos that if
Rockstar Games has a game coming out
that year they typically finalize the
release date for that game at the end of
January or early February they did that
with Red Dead Redemption 2 Grand Theft
Auto 5 Grand Theft Auto 4 and max pain
and we also know that Rockstar Games
parent company take to interactive has
their earnings call in February which is
why Rockstar typically does make those
announcements right before then so if I
was a betting man that’s probably when
we’ll hear from them next it would be a
good opportunity to start the new year
with a handful of announcements they
likely want to make probably giving an
update on Grand Theft Auto 6 as well as
when they’re going to update GTA 5 on PC
with all the PlayStation 5 and Xbox
series X and S upgrades that’s something
they mentioned in a newswire a couple of
weeks ago that they were going to tackle
in early 2025 so I would say that’s very
likely when will he hear from them next
I don’t believe it’s going to be this
year which is crazy to think about that
they went the entire year without even
uttering the word GTA 6 but I’m
optimistic and confident that in 2025 we
of course will hear from them and it’s
going to have to happen sooner rather
than later just based on the timing of
when they typically update things as
well as the expectations of their parent
company take to interactive so let me
