If You’re a Grand Theft Auto 6 fan which
I imagine you are because you’re
watching this video today should really
excite you and honestly this is the last
time we’re probably going to hear from
Rockstar about GTA 5 and this sort of
signals a transition to Grand Theft Auto
6 so today is March 4th 2025 and today
not only did Rockstar release an update
to GTA online they also introduced a new
GTA plus event period but they also gave
players on the PC a massive free update
giving them essentially all the bonuses
and technical advancements that were on
PlayStation 5 and Xbox series X and S
giving that to the PC platform and a
little bit more in terms of the
graphical upgrades that you can do and
whatnot they did all of this on the same
day which again I’ve said in the past
essentially clears the runway for
Rockstar to now talk about Grand Theft
Auto 6 because they’ve essentially
already talked about everything they
could possibly talk about if this game
is going to be coming out in fall 2025
they’ve updated GTA 5 for like the
eighth time essentially everything from
the last Grand Theft Auto Online update
has been released in terms of content
cars Etc there might be a couple of
things left over but certainly nothing
major Rockstar has updated Red Dead
Redemption it’s now on PC it’s also on
PlayStation 4 Nintendo switch Red Dead
Redemption 2 is doing well so you might
think to yourself what else is Rockstar
have left to talk about the answer is of
course Grand Theft a 6
and this is the announcement they made
today free upgrade for Grand Theft Auto
5 on PC now available new features on PC
include House special Works Vehicles
access to GTA plus and more they said
the upgrade for GTA 5 on PC is now
available to play from the Rockstar
Games launcher also available via steam
or on Epic Games introducing features
previously only available on the latest
generation of consoles this upgrade also
optimized the game experience and
performance on Modern PCS players who
already own GTA 5 on PC can upgrade to
this new version for free with the
ability to migrate your story mode in
online progress while anyone jumping
onto GTA 5 and Grand Theft Auto online
for the first time on PC we’ll get this
new version which is called GTA 5
enhanced along with the original version
GTA 5 Legacy when purchased and Rockstar
has shown off a couple of different
screenshots uh and I’ll be showing them
through this video right here and
honestly even if you don’t care about
this update at all this really is a nice
opportunity to see some of the things
that Rockstar will likely Implement in
GTA 6 like for example one of the
features that they put in this new PC
edition is Ray traced Global
aluminization and the way they’ve
actually done this properly kind of
makes me think that they’re going to be
able to do this very well on the console
versions of Grand Theft Auto 6 which is
also something we kind of saw them do in
the very first trailer for GTA 6 when
that was released back in December 2023
so there’s couple screenshots on here
that really do sort of indicate that hey
Rockstar is doing some cool things and
traditionally I would have said okay Red
Dead Redemption 2 is your best bet to
see what the graphics of GTA 6 are going
to look like and to a degree that’s
still the case and certainly some of the
mechanics and the systems that’ll be the
most modern version of the game that you
can enjoy closest to GTA 6 but now with
this graphical upgrade and free addition
to PC uh GTA 5 is kind of looking a
little bit closer with some of the
things the Rockstar was able to do which
is very very cool now they go on to say
this GTA online features get access to
powerful new vehicles stunning chameleon
paints high performance modifications
and more all from how’s special works or
hsw as we ended up calling it and newly
added vehicles for PC include the pagi
weaponized ignis coil Cyclone 2
supercars the Karen s95 sports car and
the Imponte Arbiter GT muscle car as
well as the Fister Astron custom SUV
these join a fleet of 20 Vehicles
already available in GTA Online and are
now available for tuning from hsw plus
GTA Plus members can claim a Principe
devastate 8 Supercar for free through
May 28th as a part of the special
Classics Collection commemorating GTA
Plus’s arrival on PC now Rockstar goes
on to say this anyone looking to take in
the fauna can also now Relish in the
animal ecosystem with ambient animals
encounters and a daily Wildlife
photography challenge available from the
ls tourist board at Chiliad Mountain
State Wilderness plus the refresh
landing page makes it easier than ever
for veteran PC players to jump straight
into the action alongside an improved
introductory flow for newer players
featuring The Career Builder which
includes a$ million cash windfall to get
you started as you choose one of your
four initial criminal career paths and
the career progress feature offers the
opportunity to track your Headway across
all of GTA online’s updates while also
unlocking special rewards as you advance
so some cool stuff again going on there
as well as the newly added Oscar Guzman
again DLC both the newly upgraded and
original versions also feature access to
GTA online’s wealth of updates including
today’s new Oscar Guzman flies again
update where you’ll take control of the
historic McKenzie field hanger and grape
seed is a new branch of arms trafficking
business complete with New Missions new
aircrafts and more they’ve also included
the operating specifications that you
need for minimum to be able to run this
and then of course recommended I’m not
super in tune with PC stuff but I will
leave a link to this in the description
if you guys are interested Rockstar
talks about what they’re adding though
PC players on the newly upgraded version
running with the recommended
specifications can enjoy rate tracing
features only available on PC such as
ambient occlusion Global illumination
plus Ray Trace shadows and Reflections
that first debuted on the PS5 and Xbox
series X and S versions and again that’s
some of the stuff that I think we can
expect to see in Grand Theft Auto 6 when
it ultim L arrives considering that
Rockstar is going to be making the game
for the same consoles PS5 series X and S
yes it’ll be a different game different
engine but same console so you you will
see some overlapping stuff so what we’ve
seen so far is pretty cool they also go
on to say there is support for AMD FSR
and Nvidia dlss with frame generation
support planned for both at a future
date and dual send controller support
with adaptive triggers plus faster
loading times using SSD and direct
storage on supported devices and
configurations enhanced support for
higher resolutions higher aspect ratios
and higher frame rates as well as
enhanced audio with support for Dolby
atmas and improved Fidelity of speech
cinematics and music access to the
previous version of GTA 5 found as GTA 5
Legacy in the launcher will continue so
anyone whose Hardware does not meet the
minimum requirements of the new update
can keep playing PC players on the
Legacy version will be separate from
those on the new enhanced version so
anyone who wants to play with friends
need to make sure they’re playing the
same version of the game also story mode
progress that was uploaded from the
Legacy version during the preload period
is now available to download to migrate
to the enhanced version of the game and
this is the part of the newswire where I
kind of got excited hoping we would hear
uh maybe a little bit of what’s to come
from Rockstar the very bottom they set
in more the upgraded version of GTA 5 on
PC also includes all of our recent GTA
online player experience improvements
like kernel-based anti-che protections
and proactive voice chat moderation make

unfortunately didn’t get anything like
that but again I do see this as a good
sign because Rockstar essentially have
nothing more to talk about when it comes
with GTA 5 Grand Theft Auto online or
any of their other titles the only thing
they’ve got upcoming essentially is GTA
6 if of course it stays in Fall 2025 so
I really do believe the door is now open
for us to get something soon but let me
