this GTA 6 leak is absolutely insane it
tells us a lot about the game play story
details and a whole lot more the big
question now is is it true we’ll be
talking about all that in this video
today so I want to get through the
details first and then I’ll talk about
some of the intricacies that I think
either make it real or less believable
it was posted on the GTA subreddit
coming from a user Bread Fruit Icy
5141 which again we’ll talk about in a
little bit they ended up deleting their
account and the title of the post is “I
worked on Grand Theft Auto 6 here are
some insights on its design.” Going on
to say “This is 100% my experience not
trolling do not take this as a grain of
salt take this as reality because it is
i’m using a burner account i worked on
GTA 6 for less than a year and won’t
share specific dates or responsibilities
i have no knowledge of the release date
i can only speak to what I was exposed
to not what I directly worked on to
reduce personal risk.” One of the
departments I interacted with was
indirectly character design which had
some overlap with world design during a
particular development phase during that
phase interdep departmental
collaboration led to a positive shift in
direction design that lasted several
months while I can’t reveal much I can
offer some general insight into
character and world design certain terms
focused on seasonal or event-based NPCs
for example character density in areas
like beaches or city centers varies
depending on the day of the week mondays
might see lower NPC volume at the beach
compared to the weekends and the
trailer’s crowd level reflects typical
weekend traffic the dynamic applies
across various in-game locations some
NPCs or tourists will appear only during
specific days or windows i observed
designs labeled Vaspuchcci beach
tourists San Fierro tourists and
Alangquin tourist events one and two as
well as conference visitors beachgoers
the most interesting thing I saw
involved LS gang member variations 1 2
and three from what I gather they may
tie into a strangers and freak style
mission that activates during specific
time frames you’ll also see some NPCs at
the beach on weekends in beach gear and
in business apparel Monday through
Friday i’ve seen designs labeled
NPC_0000172 beach attire and
NPC_0000172 work attire at a minimum
there are likely two more variations
associated with select NPCs there will
also be in-game events and concerts
where tourists wear branded t-shirts
mirroring real life event culture think
conferences concerts and similar
occasions i know design elements exist
for these types of NPCs for
environmental and design references
several YouTube channels were used such
as Charlie Bow Florida Hood Blogs Walks
and Wall Street Excursion Tours 4K Walk
these help shape environmental behaviors
to reflect realworld realism in certain
areas they were used as reference points
later in development after much of the
world had already been built additional
detailing and the second layer of work
were then added to these environments
obviously they use practical real life
photos and videos they captured but they
also reference YouTube channels on top
of that i know the police body camera
channels were referenced to help create
some events based on certain teams were
designing that’s about it do not know
when the game is launching don’t have
any insights like that so that was the
entire post and as I mentioned right now
this user ended up sort of deleting
their account after this whole thing
blew up and went viral now before I talk
about any of that I want to kind of
briefly recap everything we basically
just touched on right there and as I was
going back and editing I noticed that
there was actually an update to what was
posted this individual said “Update last
few comments before I log out of this
account hopefully this thread stays up
until the game launches and the account
doesn’t get deleted.” just for kicks i
want to be able to look back at the
comments saying this is untrue or it’s
just a trust me bro source and then ask
when it turns out to be 100% accurate is
it still just a trust me bro source
bookmark and screenshot this thread so
you can say oh he was right these are
things that will not be cut from the
game there won’t be any excuses this was
part of a second phase of development
meant to expand on the existing NPC
framework at the time to really flesh
out the world in this aspect i’m sure
they finished it by now this was from at
least 10 months ago and I had direct
exposure for only a few weeks i
obviously don’t work there anymore to
answer a few common questions I’ve seen
when I mention Vaspuchcci Beach Tourist
San Fierro tourist and Alangquin tourist
event 1 and two i’m talking about
tourist NPC designs to my knowledge
these locations aren’t in the game but
there will be tourists from these places
which you’ll learn through dialogue
that’s what they were designed for i
never said those areas would be in the
game i’m pretty sure I made that clear
as for my post history I created a new
account first and I went back and forth
on whatever uh I would share any of this
a few days ago i decided to go ahead
with it this wasn’t the original intent
to my account again bookmark or
screenshot this thread and come back
when the game drops peace out so that
was the last little update they provided
again the account has since been deleted
but I wanted to add in that context
before we went on and talked about
anything else so again sort of recapping
this individual talks about their
experience at Rockstar Games the
department in which they works on which
I I do think adds a little bit of
credibility because they aren’t able to
just provide every detail under the sun
again we’ll talk a little bit about that
in a minute they focus on these seasonal
and event-based NPCs like for example
beaches only being occupied during
certain times of the day also only
seeing NPCs and characters at certain
times or certain seasons that’s
definitely representative of like what
we saw in Red Dead Redemption 2 with a
lot of the characters they might only
appear uh during like certain chapters
or they might only appear during the day
or during the night it seems like NPCs
also have a schedule like we do like
Monday through Friday will be working
and then on the weekends doing something
more casual or leisurebased and then of
course in-game concerts with branded
t-shirts kind of like what you would see
in real life so it’s very very cool and
all of that sounds awesome as far as the
details of Grand Theft Auto 6 but is it
real and that’s what I want to talk
about next and I want to talk about some
of the things that I believe give it a
little bit more credibility than most
for example where it was posted a lot of
the leaks that you see post online they
obviously want them to go viral because
they get joy out of a lot of people
seeing them and believing what they’re
saying in this instance it was just
posted to the generic Grand Theft Auto
subreddit not the GTA 6 subreddit why
would you post exclusive details about
Grand Theft Auto 6 the most anticipated
game of all time on a place where it
probably won’t get as many eyeballs that
just seems like an odd choice it’s also
coming from someone that obviously
created a throwaway or a burner account
thus not linking them back to their
personal accounts which again makes
sense if something you don’t want to get
caught by Rockstar they also kind of
stayed within their lane they didn’t
seemingly talk about everything under
the sun they talked about roughly what
they had experience on which if you’re
working at Rockstar unless you’re
someone like Sam Hower or someone at the
very very top you’re not really going to
have an idea on everything that’s going
on in this game you’re going to have a
narrow cone of vision on the things
you’re working on which was exactly what
was shared here so it wasn’t like this
giant wishlist or giant monologue of
things that would get people excited
it’s kind of like this narrow little
detail on how the world is going to work
and how some of the characters inside
the world are going to work now the
account being deleted is a little bit
suspicious but this could be for a
number of reasons maybe they felt like
“Oh shoot i probably shouldn’t have
posted that online i don’t want this
getting tracked back to me.” Maybe they
weren’t as anonymous as they thought
with the details they shared and then
ultimately decided to delete it i’m not
sure another thing that gives me like a
glimmer of hope of this being real is we
have seen legitimate Grand Theft Auto
and even Red Dead Redemption leaks
posted on online Reddit forums 4chan etc
that have turned out to be true so I
know a lot of what is thrown out there
is fake but there is always a chance
based on what we’ve seen in the past
that stuff like this does indeed turn
out to be true and even some of the
other details that they mentioned like
using YouTube channels and real life
tour guides to sort of shape the world
that is 100% true you guys might
remember this is back before even Grand
Theft Auto 6 was announced that there
was like this Florida film and
production podcast and they had a guest
on that pretty much all but said they’re
working with Rockstar Games to make the
next Grand Theft Auto so hopefully this
leak is true because honestly everything
I see in it is super positive i love the
way the world is shaping out how
detailed the characters are going to be
how they’re going to have unique
schedules like real life people we saw a
little bit of that in Red Dead
Redemption 2 like if you went through
some of the towns and you followed the
NPCs you’d see like they would start
their day they would work at the end of
the day they would go home and that was
pretty cool we hadn’t really seen
anything like that it looks like that’s
going to get even more advanced in Grand
Theft Auto 6 and even more advanced when
you see certain strangers or freaks or
people that you can interact with based
on what time of day it is and what
places will be more populated based on
what day and what hour things are taking
place so honestly I thought this was
super cool let me know what you think
